Comments?The girls were known as "The Six Sweet Singing Smith Sisters" or "The Ariel Ladies Sextet". They were known to have sung in 1896's for President McKinley in his home. I believe Abraham was a minister. He was my paternal Great Great Grandfather. Any information gratefully accepted!

Comments?Alvis was a prominent citizen of Van Buren, Crawford Co., AR serving as Deputy Sheriff, alderman, mayor, school board director and postmaster. During the Civil War he was conscripted into the CSA (Co. C, King's 22nd Regiment AR Infantry, John Wallace, captain) he later 'dropped' out of the CSA and enrolled in the Union Army as 2nd Lt. in Co. L, 2nd Ark. Cav. (William Bowlin, captain) on 8 Mar 1864 at Springfield, Mo. He applied for an invalid pension in 1892. He appears on 1850, 1860, 1870, and 1880 census' in Van Buren, AR. Death certificate and census state he was born in TN. His mother was Elizabeth 'Betsy' Unknown surname, born 1820, and she appears on census records living in Alvis household.

Comments?Andrew was born in KY according to 1900 census but his son Thomas's death certificate says IL. He resided in Jefferson Township, Boone County , AR until approximately 1900. Then he disappears. Cannot find any traces of him before 1850 or after 1900. Any help greatly appreciated.
